ABOUT OUR FIRM
Gary Silverman, a native New Yorker, graduated from Jericho High School in 1971. He is a 1975 honors graduate with a Bachelors of Arts degree from Hofstra University on Long Island, New York. He attended Southwestern University School of Law in Los Angeles where he graduated with a Juris Doctor degree in 1978, and has been practicing law since then. While attending Southwestern University Law School, Gary became the first certified law student in the history of the State of California to try and win a criminal jury trial. He has tried to jury verdict and judicially arbitrated to judgment hundreds of civil cases against the most nationally known insurance companies and local, state and federal prosecutors. His office has filed motions which have successfully prevented immigrants from being deported. His office has filed petitions which expunge or remove felony and misdemeanor convictions from clients’ records.
Gary is a member of the bar and can permissibly argue cases before the United States Supreme Court, the California and Florida Supreme Courts and the federal district and appeals courts of both states.
He has served as a voluntary judge for the Los Angeles Superior Court and has been a Los Angeles Superior Court civil case arbitrator and a Los Angeles County Bar Association fee dispute arbitrator.
While other law firms hand clients off to junior attorneys and lower level paralegals, each case is personally handled or supervised to its conclusion by Gary, with clients getting regular status reports by email or by correspondence. The firm prides itself on its accessibility and its regular, consistent, communication with clients.
